Where Tomorrow’s Stars Play Today™️🚀 These young stars are the best in class this past season in the CBL 12U division🥇We salute the 12U All-CBL First Team🙌👏👏👏. Starting at guard is the most precocious talent in the league this season, Kaya ‘The Businessman’ Birsen. Averaging a ridiculous 28.5ppg and winning every single game he played in, this emerging national star is the real deal. He got what he liked when he liked this season and there was nothing any opposing guard could do about it. Kaya is LEGIT🔥🔥🔥. He plays the game at a different level🔝and it’s evidenced by MVPs in every game he played in this season for a league leading 7 personal awards in addition to the division season MVP🥶❄️🥶. Dominant. He’s joined in the backcourt by Playoff Finals MVP Chris Sagun, a cool, calm and collected 🪣 from the @chiswickgators. Everybody Loves Chris - and for good reason. He can create his own shot in iso coverage: Jumper, drive or floater. He delivers. He also plays the P&R to perfection and is a willing and capable passer out of the pocket. The other guard on the 1st Team is about all of the ‘right’ things in the game. Richard ‘RJ’ Jones is the ultimate team player but can get his whenever he needs to. Lights out shooter from 3, but gets to the 🗑 like a hot knife through butter. Unstoppable. However his strongest asset may be his defence. Hands down best defender in the league 🔒🔒🔒 Oh, and he’s also CLUTCH. Just a winner from start to finish and the engine behind @owe_youthsports incredible run this season. Justin Fagbenle is the latest emerging star out of the Fagbenle Dynasty (google them). A long, agile, versatile forward with soft hands and good feet, Justin is already showing sings of being the ‘next in line’. He hits the glass, blocks shots, can lead a break and finish at the basket or at the 3 point line. His game is finesse. Watch him rise 📈. Jaaron McPherson is the younger brother to CBL Phenom Jayden McPherson and is looking every bit the rising star his older brother is. His long arms and excellent timing helped him to 4bpg while playing a pivotal role in the @chiswickgators 12U 🏆 A double/double machine, 👑 this young King. 👏👏👏

Where Tomorrow’s Stars Play Today🚀 We salute 🙌 the 12U All-CBL Third Team players on outstanding individual seasons in pushing their teams to the top. All 5 players showed up and showed out this season. Led by the high-scoring guard from WF Flames, Calvin Azusano, who has one of the best handle packages in the whole division league🔥. Jayden Wong has been steadily building his game for the past 3 years in the CBL and it’s all now starting to pay off 📈. Hayden Orris is a sharp-shooter from the OWE program. He doesn’t get the shine some of his teammates do but, trust us - we see it. He’s a long-range 🪣. Zach Miller was the heart and soul of the OWE program this season making big plays at the right ⏰all season long #millertime (we had to do it lol). Gurdiat Bal @chiswickgators big man in the middle was too big, too long and too effective around the basket to leave off this list. Another season in the books and we ended it with a bang! Final Four weekend was #amazing, but it was really a #celebration of 26 weeks of fantastic #basketball. We want to thank all #teams, #players, #coaches, #parents, #fans and #supporters for being a part of the 21/22 season. We do what we do to #impact the lives of young people #positively, but this cannot be done without all of your amazing #support and #contributions. Thank you to all of the staff and #media who show up and deliver, helping us to give young people the platform to shine. #Congratulations to every player and team, whether you made the #playoffs or not, whether you won a #trophy or not. As @originalvoiceofreason has said for many years, “You win or you learn”.

Where Tomorrow’s Stars Play Today!

@ai24tb has been doing this since U12s, taking L’s, getting better, getting out muscled, getting better, being the young one overlooked while the big boys were dunking everything, but still getting better. Each season, adding something new to his game. Never asked for anything he didn’t work for, never was about the gas, never DM’d asking for highlights, because he knew, his game was enough. He grew in the CBL with @southwark_legends keeping the first thing the first thing; getting better. Always showed up with respect for his competition, and during lockdown, didn’t stop. He stayed getting better. Still the older boys talked trash, still he got better, kept adding weapons to his bag. U12, to U14, to U16, to U18: what Tijan shows is, there is a process to greatness. You get nothing before it’s time. You cannot manufacture your pathway and there is no shortcut cheat code . The work never lies. Sheesh speaking of work, look at the footwork. 😩

Mr Triple-Double with one of many nice plays at Final Fours. Announced as one of the best two way players in the league if not the best. This young man has been silently playing spectacular basketball all season long. The only player to get back-to-back triple doubles, always first to the floor, getting timely defensive stops, playing through injury, doing whatever it takes to win. It’s been a joy to watch his development since he entered the league to now. Keep up the great work sir. The next step is a good one.
