Rossano Dias was the headline on last Sunday 11th December 2016, showcasing his MVP status to push MM Prep past Wandsworth RAMS 44-12.

Dias began his assault on scoreboard early in the first quarter, sinking a three whilst also dishing out assists to open up the game and have his team mates involved. This worked well to bring in previous MVP, Kevaun McKenzie, who also contributed 10 points to the scoresheet.

Although the first half saw exciting play from Wandsworth as Blair Peck (5) and Theo Ackah-Yensu (3) stepped up to slightly interrupt MM Prep’s rhythm, the winners refused to miss a beat and were up by more than double (21-10) going into the third.

But the end of the game showcased gutsy play from MM Prep’s Trevor Onaiwu, Kevaun McKenzie and Aaron Noel who all hit threes to hurt RAMS from outside.

Dias had the final word in the last quarter, digging deep with 6 steals to keep the game in favour of his team and seal the deal successfully.

MVP, Dias, said, “I’m happy with today’s win, although I think we could have played better. I really enjoy playing with the guys, and I think our team chemistry on court makes up for when things don’t always go to plan. But we encourage each other to stay focussed, and so a great effort from everyone today helped us finish strong.”
