Steve Whyte, League Commissioner:

“We’re thrilled to have the CBL officially powered by the LSB more formally this season as it really strengthens our grassroots platform and embodies what the CBL is ultimately about. The LSB have been the best at what they do for a number of years now and so to have the organisational support is a major win for the CBL and enable us to really elevate the experience for CBL players and their friends and families who enjoy watching and supporting them”.

Nhamo Shire, LSB Founder & CEO:

“For those who know our history, I’m sure the solidifying of the relationship between the CBL and LSB will come as no surprise. I, of course, have swapped hats between steering both organisations since their inception, but always felt there was a level of ambiguity around how the two fit together and what the overarching purpose of both organisations has alway been. With this announcement, I’m confident much of that will now be shored up and through greater clarity and support from the LSB, the CBL can really find its feet as an independent organisation that can provide a positive and engaging competitive outlet for the players within the LSB coaching programs and beyond”.
