Javel Small came up big for the Haringey Sixers as his phenomenal 29 points helped his side secure a quality win against reigning U23 champions  A4U All-Stars in a 62-50 win on Sunday 11th December 2016.

Small has always been hard to guard and proved why last weekend when he single-handedly outplayed his opponents for much of the game. If he wasn’t knocking down threes or grabbing his own rebounds, Small could be found anywhere on court catching ankles on his way to another basket.

Despite the outcome, Activities4U remained solid throughout this game with three of its players finishing in double digits. Renowned for his athleticism and leadership, Kayne Miller, led his side with 16 points, whilst great ball handling skills from Khalid Ibrahim (14) and an effort from Jamal Sanchez (14) all ensured to trim Haringey’s lead where possible, keeping the score close at times.

Despite trailing behind 31-18 at the half, A4U’s trio managed to dominate the third quarter, outscoring Haringey (21-17) to stay in the game.

But Javel couldn’t be contained, and with the help of Lamine Ndoione’s 5 points and 5 rebounds, it wasn’t long before Haringey were too far in front and closed out the game comfortably.
