Hard work paid off for the Brent Ballers who secured a comfortable win of 44-11 when they faced the Kensington and Chelsea Knights on Sunday 20th November 2016 in their first game of the U14 Division this season.

Brent’s Sheyi Agbaye and Chris Allen proved to be double trouble for the Knights, who couldn’t seem to lock either of these two down. Allen nearly caught a few ankles on his way to finishing with 11 points, whilst Agbaye also attacked the basket well to chip in 10 points for his side to finish strong.

Barnet’s Sheyi Agbaye, said, “Today, hard work won us the game. We did well to keep everything under control, and communicate with each other to ensure we were all concentrating on the defence and running the play.”

Despite the loss, Knights continued to play great team basketball and had the majority of their players feature on the stats sheet, including Jon Gjorllaku (4), Duke Nygen (2), and Mohammed Saed (2).

Knights’ Coach, Omar, said, “It feels great to be back for another season in the CBL, and playing our first game in what will be another exciting year. Although we didn’t come away with a win, all my players enjoyed themselves, especially those who have joined us recently. It’s great to have everyone playing and having fun at the same time!”
